Staff will present information on the following Comprehensive Plan Elements:
Housing, Recreation &Open Space and Intergovernmental Coordination.
Housing
This element will consist of principles, guidelines, standards, and strategies that will be followed to provide housing for current and anticipated future residents of the Village of Indiantown. The element will include strategies to eliminate substandard dwelling conditions; the improvement of the structure and aesthetics of existing housing; and the provision of adequate sites for future housing.
The element will include ways that Indiantown will partner with private and nonprofit agencies to meet the housing needs of Indiantown.
Recreation & Open Space
This element will indicate public and private sites for recreation, including, but not limited to natural resources, parks and playgrounds, parkways, open spaces, waterways, and other recreational facilities.
Intergovernmental Coordination
This element will show relationships and state principles and guidelines to be used in coordinating the adopted comprehensive plan with the plans of school boards, regional water supply authorities, and other units of local governments. This element will also provide for procedures to identify and implement joint planning areas; dispute resolution and interlocal agreements.
